Good flick. Pretty intense. This scene was the one I had to go back and watch a couple times.
I also recently watched Black Mass. Another good one if you like crime/mob movies. Johnny Depp was fantastic as usual. Lots of good 70s/80s cars in that one.

Probably would have been my favorite movie of 2015 were it not for Star Wars.
My friends are personally sick and tired of me gushing about how fucking good the sound track used in Sicario is.

I’m in the same boat. Sicario is a superior film; great cinematography, story, pacing, well-acted, emotionally jarring, but I had such a good time watching Star Wars. Loved them both, and I hope 2016 is as good a year for film as 2015 was.

Yeah... sicario is sick. And I’d have to agree that, while I liked Force Awakens, Sicario is better...
And edited to add— I heard they’re all ready working on a pre/sequel that centers on Del Toro’s character...

I’m both ecstatic to see more of the characters and story, and a little worried about the fact that the director probably won't be back.

I thought the same thing. How much of the first one’s magic is directing and how much was casting. Guess we’ll find out.

I could totally see that shootout happening on the bridge. I was going the other way (Juarez bound), when it was packed, and there was almost no traffic when we came back.
I kept waiting for the Mexican MPS that are around there to open up and shoot everyone. Thay was a number of years ago however. It may have de-escalated since then.

Oh my god I found a YouTube video of that highway scene in Sicario and its so mesmerizing. The shots fly so fast and in such a small, dense space of time, yet the tension before the exploding violence twisted and evolved for like 5 min. It’s some great cinematography.
